Dr. Woode was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He obtained his undergraduate degrees in mathematics and computer science at Oakwood University here his in Huntsville. He then pursued and completed medical education at the University of Alabama school of Medicine. His post-graduate education included four years of internship and residency in a combine residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio where he also served as Chief Resident. After completing his residency, Dr. Woode completed his subspecialty training in the management of Diabetes, Endocrinology and metabolism as a fellow at The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Woode has been involved with many specialty organizations including the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), where he served on the board, the Endocrine Society, and the American Thyroid Association along with being members of other medical societies such as the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Diabetic Association. He served on the board of Southern States AACE representing the states of Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Dr. Woode has published and presented several at national meetings and has co-authored a chapter on hyperglycemic emergencies for the AACE Self Assessment Program and the American Board Internal Medicine maintenance of certification examination. He served on the committee for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist’s guideline on menopause. His most publication is a chapter in Management of Pediatric Obesity and Diabetes.

Dr. Woode currently provides care for a wide range of Endocrine problems including diseases of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands, low testosterone, and diabetes.

He continues to be involved in community activities and enjoys educating the community about endocrine diseases and their treatment. He serves on the staff at Crestwood Medical Center.

Dr. Woode, his wife, and son live in Huntsville, Alabama.
